We have been property owners, and thus landlords, of a 4-plex in Mesa Arizona since October of 2010.    The experience we had with our first property management company was not a good one.  We interviewed a second company but were left with the same bad impression.  Then, we interviewed with Lisa Pizzuti of Built by Referral and contracted with her company in December of 2011, to care for our property management needs.  Since we are not local, having a reliable property manager is extremely necessary and important to us.  Lisa and her company have been fantastic to work with!  They have always been very responsive in communication whenever we have required it.  After 9 full years of performance, their collection rate has been nearly 100%.  We have had very few vacancies and when they did occur, Lisa had them filled within a month each time.  They do look after our property maintenance needs but are conservative and have never left us feeling taken advantage of as remote owners. Their monthly statements are easily readable and understandable, and their reimbursement checks are always timely.   We would not hesitate for a second to recommend Built by Referral as a property management company.  If you have need and are considering this company, in our opinion, you have found a good thing.
